EAST LANSING, Mich. - Michigan State junior goalkeeper Avery Steinlage's NCAA record shutout streak currently stands at 1,165:08 entering Friday's game against Loyola Marymount. This week, Sports Illustrated featured Steinlage in the magazine's "Faces in the Crowd" section of their Sept. 21 issue. ESPN.com's Maria Burns-Ortiz also caught up with Steilage to talk about his record streak and Kevin Scheitrum of NCAA.com featured Steinlage this week on his weekly "Inside the Pitch" column.

Steinlage is perfect in his last 12 games and hasn't allowed a goal since giving up a penalty kick on Oct. 15, 2008. The last goal the Grand Haven, Mich., native allowed in the flow of play was on Oct. 8, 2008 in a loss at Notre Dame - a streak of 1,288:16.
