EAST LANSING, Mich. - The Michigan State men's soccer team will host Bowling Green on Thursday, Sept. 29 at 4 p.m. MSU opened its' Big Ten schedule last weekend, earning a tie against Indiana on Sunday. With the tie the Spartans moved to 2-1-4 on the season and 0-0-1 in Big Ten play. State has played five consecutive road games and its last home contest was on Sept. 5.

Michigan State goalkeeper Jason Tillman (Jr., Brighton) made eight saves against IU earning him Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week honors. He faced several IU shots in the overtime periods, including a last second threat that hit the crossbar. Tillman, who has been a standout in the MSU goal, has allowed just seven goals in seven games this season.

Senior midfielder and co-captain Ryan McMahen (Munster, Ind.) is the Spartans' leading scorer this season with three goals and three assists. With one more assist, McMahen, would tie for second in career assists in MSU soccer history, with 27.

After hosting Bowling Green, the Spartans hit the road again for a Big Ten contest and head to Evanston, Ill., to face the Northwestern Wildcats on Sunday, Oct. 2 at 2 p.m.
