Goalkeeper Jason Tillman Named Big Ten Defensive Player Of The Week

EAST LANSING, Mich. - For the second time this season junior goalkeeper Jason Tillman (Brighton, Mich.) has been named Men's Soccer Big Ten Player Defensive Player of the Week, the Conference announced on Monday. Tillman has a 340:59 shutout streak dating back to an Oct. 4 game versus Oakland.

In the Oct. 11 match against Notre Dame, Tillman made seven saves in a double-overtime 0-0 tie with the Fighting Irish.

Tillman recorded his fourth shutout of the season on Oct. 16 when he made six saves in a 2-0 blanking of Michigan.

Tillman and the Spartans will try and continue their string of whitewashes against Penn State. The Green and White face the Nittany Lions Oct. 23 at 2:30 p.m. on Old College Field.
