Free Tickets, Parking Information for Sunday Game vs. Michigan
Oct. 25, 2011
East Lansing, Mich. - The Spartan Ticket Office has announced that tickets for Sunday's Michigan State men's soccer game against archrival Michigan will be free of charge. Fans planning on attending the game are encouraged to plan on a bit of an early arrival, due to parking lots filling quickly, as well as alternate lots being designated as soccer parking.
The men's basketball exhibition game on Sunday will require that the lots at Jenison Field House become a pay/pass lot in advance of the soccer game's noon start. Soccer fans are encouraged to utilize lot 62W, at the north end of Spartan Stadium, adjacent to the Old College Field complex (east of the Sparty Statue).
Sunday's men's soccer game is the annual battle for the Big Bear Trophy, given annually to the winner of the MSU-UM contest. In addition, this is the men's soccer team's last regular-season home game, and the eight Spartan seniors will be honored at the conclusion of the game for their four years in Green & White.
"This is such a great game on our schedule, and we're hoping that the timing of our game before the basketball exhibition will allow fans to take in both games on Sunday," said head coach Damon Rensing. "We also have a great group of eight seniors that have meant a lot to our program, and have played an intregal part in the 2008 Big Ten title in addition to a fantastic run to last year's NCAA Tournament Sweet 16. We're asking our fans to please stay on through the senior day ceremony after the game to help thank them for all of their contributions to our program over the last four years."
