DeMartin Earns Academic All-District Honors

EAST LANSING, Mich. - Spartan soccer forward Doug DeMartin was named to the ESPN The Magazine CoSIDA Academic All-District IV Team this week. The Mason native was a first team selection in District IV. The team is selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

DeMartin, a finance major, currently boasts a 3.91 GPA and is a three-time Academic All-Big Ten selection.

The Academic All-District honor makes DeMartin eligible for Academic All-America consideration.

This season, DeMartin leads the Big Ten in points (32) and goals (15). The 10-5-1, and 25th-ranked Spartans host No. 6 Northwestern on Sunday (Nov. 2) in their regular-season finale. Should MSU win, it will be Big Ten regular-season champions.
