East Lansing, Mich.- The Michigan State men's and women's soccer programs will join forces to host three separate youth soccer clinics this winter at the Duffy Daugherty Indoor Football Facility. The training sessions will feature instructions on all aspects of the game, including individual and group techniques and tactics. The clinics, which will run Jan. 22, Feb. 19, and Mar. 5, will be run by Spartan soccer coaches Joe Baum and Tom Saxton with additional instruction from their assistants, as well as current MSU soccer players.
The Duffy Daugherty facility features a full-sized soccer field with an Astro play, grass-like surface and four-separate, full-sized goals. Each session will feature specific goaltender instruction seminars covering all aspects of the position. The cost per player is $40 for a single session, $75 for two sessions and $100 to participate in all three; proceeds will directly benefit the Michigan State soccer programs.
Enrollment is limited. Please contact women's assistant coach Tammy Farnum at (517) 432-0409 or at firstname.lastname@example.org as soon as possible to sign up. Enrollment forms and releases are available in the above PDF.
