Spartan Tennis Wraps Up Day 2 at the Tom Fallon Invitational

EAST LANSING, Mich. - The MSU men's tennis team finished its second day at the Tom Fallon Invitational hosted by Notre Dame. The Spartans competed in singles matches with Notre Dame and also doubles against Northern Illinois and Alabama.
In singles action, John Patrick Mullane picked up his first win of the season with a decision over Quentin Monoghan of Notre Dame, 6-4, 6-3. Blas Moros of Notre Dame defeated Denis Bogatov, 6-0, 6-1. Harry Judun fell to Billy Pecor, 6-3 and 7-5.
Doug Zade dropped his match to Wyatt McCoy of Notre Dame, 6-0, 6-2. Christian Roehmer lost to Ryan Bandy, 6-0 and 6-2. Tyler Richmond dropped his match to Alex Lawson, 7-5, 6-1 and Paul Heeder fell to Doug Barnard, 6-0, 6-2.
Denis Bogatov and Harry Jadun beat Dor Amir and Jovan Zeljkovic of Northern Illinois in doubles, 8-2. Axel Lagerlof and Simon Formont defeated Doug Zade and John Patrick Mullane, 8-2. Christian Roehmer and Tyler Richmond fell to Maksym Lagutin and Maximilian Phillips of Northern Illinois, 8-2.
Jarryd Botha and Becker O'Shaughnessey of Alabama took down Harry Jadun and Dennis Bogatov, 8-5. Paul Heeder and Tyler Richmond fell to Maksym Lagutin and Maximilian Phillips of Northern Illinois, 8-4.
The Spartans will take on Alabama in singles action tomorrow at 8 a.m. at the Tom Fallon Invitational.
