Gopher Opener: The Michigan State men's tennis team will play its first home Big Ten dual match this season Saturday, April 4, against Minnesota at 1:00. Last season, the Gophers defeated the Spartans 5-2 in Bloomington, Minn.

Hunting Hawkeyes: After taking on the Gophers, Michigan State will face its second test of the weekend in a strong Iowa team Sunday, April 5 at 1:00. The Spartans will carry a three-match winning streak against the Hawkeyes into Sunday's contest. Last season, MSU defeated Iowa 5-2 in Iowa City.

Week in Review: The Spartans split 1-1in dual match action last week. On Tuesday night, Michigan State defeated Ball State University 5-2. The Green and White received singles victories from: junior Trey Eubanks at the No. 1, and sophomores Ivica Primorac at the No. 3 position, Ken Kigongo at the No. 5, and Francisco Trinidad in the No. 6 spot.

After defeating Indiana 4-3 at the O'Charleys/Vol Classic earlier in the season, Michigan State went up against the Hoosiers in Big Ten dual match action on Saturday. The Spartans would not be as fortunate this time as MSU fell to the Hoosiers 4-3. The Spartans received singles victories from Eubanks at the No. 1, Primorac at the No. 3 position, and senior Benjamin Hetzler at the No. 4 spot. With the victory, Hetzler moves his Big Ten dual match record to 2-0.
