EAST LANSING, Mich. - The Michigan State men's tennis team continues its impressive recruiting program by signing Joseph McWilliams and Michael Flowers this week to National Letters of Intent to attend MSU in the fall of 2003.

McWilliams hails from Aurora, Ill., and is currently ranked No. 79 in the 2002 USTA National Junior polls. He attends West Aurora High School. Flowers, meanwhile, will come to East Lansing from Memphis, Tenn. He is ranked No. 130 in the nation. Flowers is presently enrolled at Memphis University High School.

"We're excited about them joining the program," said head coach Gene Orlando. "These are two players that have made really great strides in the past year. I think they can be impact players next fall."
