04/15/2012 Senior Profile: Stephen HumesFor the past four years, the resilient Humes has given his all to the Michigan State Track and Field and Cross Country programs. 2006 (Indoor): Ran an indoor season-best 1:20.76 in the 600 meters at the Big Ten Indoor Championships. 2005 (Outdoor): Placed first in the 800 with a time of 1:56.46 at the Mesa Classic...placed 15th in the 400 at the Hillsdale Relays with a time of 50.14. 2005 (Indoor): Finished 12th in the 800 at the Kentucky Invitational posting a time of 1:55.62...posted a 1:05.64 in the 500, placing first, at the Notre Dame Invitational. High School: New York City Champion (2004) in 600-meter dash...second in the state in 2003 in 600 meters...ran the 10th all-time fastest 600 meters time in New York state history...team captain his junior and senior years...personal best in 600 meters is 1:20.76...five-time honor roll member. Personal: Born in Bronx, N.Y...son of Kenneth and Marcia Dacres...zoology major. |
