2/11/2012 Ten Spartans Place at Edinboro OpenThe Michigan State wrestling team placed 10 individuals at the Edinboro Open on Saturday, including second-place finishes by Eric Olanowski (125 pounds), Ryan Watts (157) and Ian Hinton (184). 2/10/2012 No. 20 Edinboro Edges Spartan Wrestling, 18-15No. 20 Edinboro defeated the Spartan wrestling team, 18-15, Friday night at McComb Field House. With the dual tied at 15, Edinboro's Ernest James recorded a takedown against Mike McClure at heavyweight with just 15 seconds remaining to secure the 3-1 win and the dual victory, 18-15. 2/9/2012 Wrestling Travels to Face No. 20 EdinboroThe Spartan wrestling team travels to face No. 20 Edinboro on Friday, Feb. 10 and will compete in the Edinboro Open on the following day. Michigan State wrapped up its conference schedule last weekend and faces a ranked opponent for the sixth consecutive week. 2/5/2012 Wrestling Drops Hard-Fought Dual to No. 6 Ohio State, 24-13The Michigan State wrestling team lost a hard-fought dual to No. 6 Ohio State, 24-13, on Senior Day at Jenison Field House Sunday afternoon. The Spartans won four matches in the dual and had the lead late with only two weight classes to go, but lost in the final matches. Seniors Anthony Jones Jr. (157) and Curran Jacobs (174) each recorded decisions for Michigan State. 2/3/2012 Spartans Set To Host No. 6 Ohio State On Senior DayMichigan State welcomes another ranked opponent into Jenison Field House in No. 6 Ohio State on Sunday, Feb. 5 at 2 p.m. Six Spartans seniors will be recognized in their last home match at Michigan State for their contributions made to the program.
