2012 Summer: Was selected as one of two wildcards for the 2012 United States Olympic Team Trials in Iowa City, Iowa, to compete in the 121-kiliogram Greco-Roman division ... Finished in second place and fell one match short of an Olympic berth ... Defeated Peter Koealczuk of the Sunkist Kids Wrestling Club, Nikola Bogojevic of the Minnesota Storm Wrestling Club and Timothy Taylor of the U.S. Army ... Lost in the finals to 2008 Olympian Dremiel Byers in a best-out-of-three series, 1-0 and 1-0, in successive periods.

2011-12 (Junior) 24-16 Overall, 2-4 Duals, 18-7 Open Tournaments: Qualified for his first NCAA Championships after placing sixth at the Big Ten Championships ... Took fifth place at the Eastern Michigan Open ... Went 4-2 at the MSU Open and finished in sixth place ... Also went 4-2 at the Reno Tournament of Champions and placed sixth after having to forfeit due to injury ... Defeated No. 18 Peter Capone of Ohio State on Feb. 5, 8-3 ... Notched two falls at the Edinboro Open and placed third ... Recorded wins over Adam Chalfant of Indiana, Roger Vukobratovich of Purdue and Cole Tobin of Wisconsin at the Big Ten Championships and finished in sixth ... Finished 1-2 at the NCAA Championships and beat Levi Cooper of Arizona State in sudden victory, 4-2.

2011 Summer: Qualified for the 2011 Pan American Championships in Rionegro, Colombia, in May, but had to withdraw from the tournament due to an injury.

2010-11 (Sophomore) 8-7 overall: Placed second in the Eastern Michigan Open after rattling off three consecutive victories before falling to teammate Mike McClure in the finals ... Went 1-2 in the Michigan State Open and recorded a fall against Corey Melinn of Grand Valley State just 1:02 into the match... Took fifth place in the Cleveland State Open after recording major decision's over Alex White of Purdue and Chris Webber of Cleveland State ... Went 1-2 at the Midlands Championships, defeating Kyle Slifka of Iowa State.

2010 Summer: Qualified for the 2010 FILA Junior World Championships in Budapest, Hungary, as a member of Team USA after capturing the 120 kg/264.5-pound crown at both the FILA Junior Greco-Roman National Championships and FILA Greco-Roman World Team Trials ... defeated Ben Apland of Michigan, 2-0 (5-0, 2-0) on April 25 at the FILA Junior Greco-Roman National Championships ... Posted a 2-0 (3-0, 1-0) win over Toby Erickson of Boise State in the finals of the Greco-Roman World Team Trials on May 29 to claim his second tournament win.

2009-10 (Redshirt) 10-6 Overall: Recorded a 4-2 record in the Eastern Michigan Open ...Won three straight matches to start out the MSU Open, en route to a 4-2 record and a fourth-place showing in the freshman/sophomore division ... After suffering a defeat in the opener of the Nittany Lion Open, went on to win matches against David Speaker of George Mason and Daniel Estricher of Edinboro to cap off a 2-2 showing at the tournament ... Finished with a 10-6 record overall.

2008-09 (Freshman) 7-8 Overall, 0-3 Duals, 7-5 Open Tournaments: Posted a 7-8 record in his freshman season and started in three dual meets ... After falling in his first match at the MSU Open (11/9), he went on to win five consecutive matches en route to a fifth-place finish in the freshman/sophomore division ... Got his first dual start vs. Penn State (2/13), falling to Cameron Wade ... Started vs. Oklahoma (2/15) and wrestled No. 16 Nathan Fernandez tough, suffering a 10-8 defeat.

PREP: Earned varsity letters in wrestling all four years at Manhattan High School ... Named district wrestler of the year ... Named team captain his junior and senior seasons ... Also earned three varsity letters in football.
