2017-18 (Redshirt Junior) 7-5 Overall, 3-4 Duals, 4-1 Tournaments: Wrestled first season at 149 pounds ... Tied for sixth on the team in major decisions with two ... Contributed 11 dual points to the team in seven dual appearances ... Made first appearance of the season in December at the Storm Open, placing sixth and finishing with a 4-1 record, including a pin at 2:59 and two major decisions ... After falling in the first round of the Storm Open, did not allow a single point on the way to sixth place ... Started in first dual of the season against Franklin & Marshall at the South Beach Duals, recording a technical fall over Chris Martorello for first dual win of the season ... Won first Big Ten match of the season with a 2-0 shutout over Austin Nash of Purdue ... Closed the season with a 7-0 victory over Kyle Springer of Eastern Michigan.
2016-17 (Redshirt sophomore) 22-18 Overall, 8-8 Duals, 14-10 Tournaments: Was one of three NCAA Tournament participants for MSU, marking his second-straight season at the NCAA Championships but first as a Spartan after advancing to Madison Square Garden last season after winning the Mid-American Conference Championship at 133 pounds last season as a redshirt freshman ... transferred to MSU last summer from Northern Illinois … was eighth at the Big Ten Championships ... posted 22-18 overall and 8-8 in duals ... posted five falls and four major decisions ... ranked in the top 20 throughout the season ... tied for second on team in major decisions (4), while ranking third on the team in wins (22), dual wins (8) and dual points (31) ... finished third at MSU Open.
At Northern Illinois (2014-16): 2016 Mid-American Conference champion at 133 pounds…Qualified for the NCAA Championships in New York City at 133 to cap a successful redshirt freshman season…Finished with a record of 19-13…Defeated No. 25 Corey Keener of Central Michigan by 3-1 decision in sudden victory to become NIU’s first MAC gold medalist since 2011…Pinned No. 10 Cameron Kelly of Ohio and earned an injury forfeit over Shayne Wireman of Eastern Michigan to reach the finals at MAC (3/6)…Went 9-5 in dual matches for NIU, scoring 35 team points…Led all Huskie starters with five pins on the season…Beat four ranked wrestlers during the season, including top-10 wins over Zach Synon of Missouri (2/7) and Kelly of Ohio (3/5)…Placed fourth at the Michigan State Open (11/15)…Earned a season-high ranking of No. 19 at 133 by Flowrestling in March.
