2006-07 (Sophomore): Earned a 1-3 record in overall matches...Lone win earned over Penn's Jack Kitchen, a 6-4 sudden victory overtime win, at the Michigan State Open.
2005-06 (RS Freshman): Went 9-9 on the season, wrestling all but one match at 174 pounds...Finished tied for second on the team with two technical falls...Notched his first win of the season by technical fall, 17-1, against Lindenwood's Adam Baker at the EMU Open...Claimed seventh at the MSU Open with three victories...Also took home seventh at the Nittany Lion Open, winning four straight matches in the consolation bracket and finishing with a 5-2 record.
2004-05 (Redshirt): Redshirted...Went 5-6 in open competition...Defeated teammate Rex Kendle in his first career collegiate match, 2-0, at the EMU Open...Recorded the first fall of his career against Mike Eckstrom at the Muskegon Open, at the 1:23 mark...Defeated Derrick McDuffee of Ohio State, 7-1, at the MSU Open, in his only match against a Big Ten foe other than one of his teammates.
PREP: Went a combined 162-39, going 50-0 his senior year...All-state his junior and senior years...Competed for Team Michigan at the Fargo Nationals in 2002 and 2003, as well as in a dual meet against Team Oklahoma in 2004...Also lettered in track and football.
