Started off his season by placing first at the MSU Open at 157 pounds ... Went 8-1 to start the season and had a 8-0 major decision over Seth Creasy of Lock Haven ... Finished 4-1 at the Reno Tournament of Champions and placed third at 165 pounds ... Went 4-2 in the first six duals of the season and beat Kyle Mosier of Purdue and Kyle Eason of West Virginia ... Defeated Ben Jordan of Wisconsin, 8-4, at the Big Ten Championships and placed eighth to qualify for the NCAA Championships ... 2010-11 (Junior) 6-4 Overall, 2-3 Duals, 4-1 Open Tournaments: Started off the season strong placing third in the Michigan State Open, winning four of five matches and defeating No. 19 Bryan Deutsch of Northern Illinois ... Was ranked as high as No. 14 in the nation and defeated No. 3 Justin Lister of Binghamton in the Sprawl and Brawl Nov. 21 ... Was forced to miss the remainder of the season due to a shoulder injury following the Iowa dual on Dec. 4.
2009-10 (Sophomore) 25-15 Overall, 13-4 Duals, 8-6 Open Tournaments: Started every dual at 149 pounds, posting a 13-4 dual meet record ... Qualified for the NCAA Championships by placing sixth at the Big Ten Championships ... Lost to Boise State's Jason Chamberlain in the first round at NCAAs, but bounced back to pin Frank Gayeski of Liberty and defeat No. 10 seed Barrett Abel of UC Davis, 14-9, before getting pinned by fourth-seeded Kyle Ruschell of Wisconsin ... After falling in the first round at the Big Ten Championships, beat Matt Coughlin of Indiana, 8-0, and Nicholas Bertucci of Purdue, 8-5, to qualify for the NCAAs ... Won five consecutive matches at the Midlands Championships, including back-to-back wins over No. 9 Mitch Mueller of Iowa State (Maj. Dec 8-0) and No. 19 Charlie Ettelson of Northern Iowa (Dec. 4-0), to take sixth place ... Earned his first career dual win over Kevin Christensen of Ohio (1/19) with a 7-1 decision ...
