2006-07 (RS Freshman): Wrestled at both 165 and 174 with an 8-13 overall record (7-12 at 165, 1-1 at 174)...Competed in 11 dual bouts... Finished fourth in the MSU Open in the 165 class, winning six straight matches before being defeated in the final...Recorded a season-high 10 points in a 10-1 victory over Nick Pullano of Old Dominion...Shut out Eastern Michigan's Don Funk, 6-0, at the MSU Open...Tallied his lone win at 174 at the Midlands tournament, defeating Dubuque's Robert Larson 7-3...Picked up his single dual win with a 6-1 victory over Pitt's Sean Richmond.

2005-06 (Redshirt): Redshirted, going 9-2 in open competition at 165 pounds, and 4-1 unattached at 174 pounds...Took sixth at the EMU Open...Defeated NCAA qualifier Will Durkee of Northwestern to claim the tournament championship at the MSU Open...Had a fall and a major decision en route to a third-place finish at the Kent State Open.
