2006-07 (Redshirt): Wrestled in 149-pound and 157-pound weight classes, going 5-4 and 6-3, respectively, for an 11-7 combined mark...Picked up first win of the season at the Eastern Michigan Open, pinning Lindenwood's David Cayce in 1:59...Earned four wins at the MSU Open, defeating two Eastern Michigan wrestlers, Joey Kokenakes (fall, 0:53) and Rece Cox (7-5, sudden victory OT)...Also bested Kayken Baxter from Old Dominion with a 14-1 major decision...Moved up to the 157 class for the Cleveland State Open and pinned two more competitors, Buffalo's Thomas Graff (3:40) and West Virginia's Matt Lemma (4:00)... Finished the Glen Brand Open in second at 157, after he pinned Dana's Marcos Martinez (0:55), Nebraska-Kearney's Andrew Baumgartner (1:29) and Nebraska-Omaha's Henry Wahle (2:36).

PREP: A Division III state champion as both a sophomore at 103 pounds and senior at 145 pounds...Went a perfect 51-0 in 2006...State runner-up as a junior, and took fifth as a freshman...Went a combined 221-24 as a four-year starter...Team captain his junior and senior years...Also earned letters in cross country and soccer.
