For the second straight year, MSU will face Eastern to kick off the dual season.
Ryan Watts takes second at 157 pounds, Michael McClure finishes first at 285.
MSU will host 34 schools competing in the event on Sunday, Nov. 11 at Jenison Field House.
2013-14 (Freshman) 17-18 Overall, 8-10 Duals, 9-5 Open Tournaments: Started every dual at 133 pounds to earn his first letter . . . Downed No. 11 Joe Roth of Central Michigan, 8-4, to secure MSU's dual victory over the No. 25 Chippewas . . . His performance in the victory over Roth earned him the team's Special Moment Award (lateraled Roth to his back and went on to win the match 8-4) . . . Took down Indiana's Chris Catton 10-3 in the final match of the dual, sealing MSU's first Big Ten dual victory of the season on Feb. 9 . . . Placed third at the Cradle Gear Invitational on Dec. 29, recording four victories . . . Went 3-0 at the Eastern Michigan Duals . . . Closed out the season with competition at the Big Ten Championships.
2012-13 (Redshirt) 18-9 Overall, 18-9 Open Tournaments: Finished 4-1 at the EMU Open, falling to fellow Spartan Hermilo Esquivel in the finals to take second ... Recorded 3-2 at the MSU Open, to take fourth place ... Finished the CSU Open with a 5-2 record, taking fifth place ... Took sixth place at the Harris Open with a 3-3 record ... Also placed second at the Greyhound Open going 3-1 with a 3-2 victory over Illinois's Dominic Olivieri.
