Forty-eight Spartans student-athletes were recognized for having a 3.0 or better GPA.

The Spartans begin the season at the Eastern Michigan Open on Nov. 3.

2013-14 (Senior) 7-13 Overall, 3-6 Duals, 4-5 Open Tournaments: Academic All-Big Ten selection . . . Started in nine duals (3-6, 1-4 Big Ten) . . . Pinned Nick Allen of Olivet College in 2:07 on Senior Day at Jenison Field House on Feb. 14 . . . Defeated Matt Irick of Indiana by a 3-2 decision as MSU topped the Hoosiers on Feb. 9 . . . Placed sixth at the Northern Iowa Open on Dec. 14 . . . Closed out the season with competition (0-2) at the Big Ten Championships.

2012-13 (Junior) 12-9 Overall, 12-9 Open Tournaments: Finished 2-2 at the EMU Open ... Recorded 2-2 at the MSU Open ... Finished the NLO Open with a 2-2 record ... Defeated Matthew Irick of Indiana at the Cleveland State Open and went 3-2 ... Finishing the year 3-2 at the Edinboro Open ... Academic All-Big Ten honoree.

2011-12 (Sophomore) 12-12 Overall, 12-12 Open Tournaments: Went 1-2 at the EMU Open ... Finished 1-2 at the MSU Open ... Scored two falls at the Nittany Lion Open and went 2-2 ... Pinned Mark Colabucci of West Virginia at the Cleveland State Open and went 4-2 ... Competed and went 2-2 at the Simonson Open ... Also finished 2-2 at the Edinboro Open.

2010-11 (Red-shirt Freshman) 23-9 Overall, 2-1 Duals, 21-6 Open Tournaments: Went 5-1 at the EMU Open and placed third . . . Won the freshman/sophomore division of the MSU Open by finishing 4-0, notching a technical fall, a major decision, and a fall in the first three matches . . . Went 1-2 at the PSU Open . . . Competed in the Cleveland State Open and took home third place after finishing with a 6-1 record . . . Defeated Zack Voller of Oakland at Spartan Duals, pinning him 58 seconds into the match . . . Finished undefeated and placed first at the Simonson Open; recorded a fall over Cameron Vlahos of Purdue in the first-place match . . . Went 0-2 at Big Ten Championships.

2009-10 (Redshirt) 3-4 Overall: Compiled a 2-2 record in the Eastern Michigan Open ... Posted a 1-2 record at the Nittany Lion Open.

PREP: Went 186-22 for coach Frank Lafferty at Rochester High School ... Was the Michigan state high school runner-up as a junior, posting a 50-7 mark at 152 pounds ... Placed sixth in the state after going 49-10 as a sophomore ... Was unable to compete at the state finals as a senior due to an illness but went 50-0 with 44 pins in his final prep season ... Went 37-5 as a freshman and qualified for the state championships ... Three-time OAA league champion.
