Junior Michael McClure is the No. 8 seed at heavyweight.

2013-14 (Senior) 32-9 Overall, 14-4 Duals, 9-1 Open Tournaments: Placed fifth at the 2014 NCAA Championships in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to earn All-America honors for the first time in his career ... Became the first wrestler to earn All-America honors at heavyweight at MSU since 1993 ... Advanced to quarterfinals at NCAA Championships before losing to eventual national champion Nick Gwiazdowski (NC State) . . . Went 5-2 overall at the NCAA Championships ... Took first place in the MSU Open with a 5-0 record; defeated No. 8 Jeremy Johnson of Ohio, 3-1 in overtime in the first-place match ... Defeated No. 9 J.T. Felix of Boise State, No. 6 Chad Hanke of Oregon State, and pinned No. 16 Odie Delaney to win the Reno Tournament of Champions ... Went 4-2 against ranked opponents in dual season, including wins over No. 19 Ben Apland of Michigan and No. 5 Jarrod Trice of Central Michigan ... Compiled a 3-2 record at the Big Ten Championships, including a sudden victory pin over Penn State's Jimmy Lawson to take seventh place ... Went undefeated at the Eastern Michigan Open and took first place; defeated teammate Steve Andrus in the first-place match ... Took fourth place in the MSU Open with a 3-2 record ... Defeated Chris Weber of Cleveland State by major decision, 14-5, to finish in fifth place in the Cleveland State Open ... Went 3-0 at the Sprawl & Brawl on Nov. 21; pinned Daniel Estricher of Shippensburg in 2:47, and also recorded an 11-0 major decision over Binghamton's Daniel Bittner ... Defeated No. 15 Blake Resing of Iowa, 4-2, in the dual meet against the Hawkeyes ... Compiled a 4-2 record at the Midlands Championships, including a 3-1 sudden victory over Iowa's Bobby Telford ... 2009-10 (Redshirt): Compiled a 9-4 record in open tournaments ... Posted a 3-1 record to place second in the Eastern Michigan Open ... Went 3-2 in the freshman/sophomore division of the MSU Open to take fifth place ... Went 3-1 at the Nittany Lion Open.

PREP: Captured the Division 1 Michigan high school state championship as a heavyweight with a 55-0 record as a senior for coaches Matt Powell and Yate Pope at Holland West Ottawa High School ...
