2017-18 (Freshman) 28-11 Overall, 13-4 Duals, 15-7 Tournaments: Named Spartans' Outstanding Wrestler ... Team leader in wins (28), dual wins (13) and dual points (46) ... Only the third true freshman Spartan since 1978 to qualify for NCAA Championships ... Ended the season ranked at No. 16 by InterMat ... Finished his first Big Ten Championships appearance in seventh place, the highest Spartan finish of the tournament ... Made the finals in his first collegiate open tournament, the MSU Open, going 4-1 to earn second place in the freshman and sophomore division ... Won the Eastern Michigan Open title in the freshman and sophomore division, recording a 4-0 record and a major decision in the final bout ... Posted a victory in his first collegiate dual, winning 9-6 against Drew Hildebrandt of No. 17 Central Michigan to give the Spartans a 3-0 lead ... Went 4-2 at the Cliff Keen Invitational ...
