2016-17 (Senior) 14-15 Overall, 6-10 Duals, 8-5 Tournaments: Earned Academic All-Big Ten honors ... recipient of MSU’s Collins-Mikles Leadership Award ... returned to lineup at 149 pounds after redshirting the 2015-16 season ... started all 16 duals ... logged one fall and three major decisions ... was second at the Reno Tournament of Champions and was fifth at the MSU Open ... went 4-1 at Reno, with two bonus-point wins, opening with a 17-9 major decision over unattached wrestler Zechariah Bresser and adding a fall over Josh Reyes of Clackamas at 5:48 before losing to No. 11 Cole Mendenhall of Wyoming in title bout ... went 3-2 at the MSU Open ... faced nine ranked opponents on the season, including stretch of facing ranked foe in four of five bouts and faced a ranked opponent in five of his last 10 bouts ... posted wild win over UM’s Malik Amine, who opened leads of 6-0 and 7-2 before Trimble stormed back to tie it at 8-8 and then tallied a late four-point near fall and the riding time point for a wild, 13-8 victory to cap his exciting and emotional Senior Day on Feb. 5.
2015-16 (Redshirt) 9-2 Overall, 0-0 Duals, 9-2 Open Tournaments: Won the Edinboro Open and was fourth at the Cleveland State Open ... tallied two major decisions ... won the Edinboro Open with a 6-0 mark, opening with a 9-1 major decision over Tyler Zimmer of Columbia and posting an 11-5 decision over Zac Carson of Eastern Michigan ... opened season with 3-0 record.
2014-15 (Junior) 10-19 Overall, 4-13 Duals, 4-3 Open Tournaments: Named co-recipient of the team’s Commitment Award ... academic All-Big Ten selection for the second year in a row ... started 17 of 18 dual meets at 149 pounds (4-13 record, 1-7 Big Ten) ... placed third at the MSU Open (3-1 record) ... went 2-1 at the Eastern Michigan Duals ... defeated Ohio State’s Randy Languis, 7-5 in sudden victory, in the dual against the Buckeyes on Jan. 16 ... defeated Trey Heckadon of Grand View by technical fall at the UNI Open ... made his third career appearance at the Big Ten Championships (2-3 record) and won two matches to take eighth place; missed automatically qualifying to the NCAA Championships by just one match (lost to Purdue’s Brandon Nelsen, 9-3, in eighth-place match).

Entered the starting lineup for the Iowa dual on Jan. 4 ... recorded a 6-3 decision over Gage Pederson of Olivet College on Feb. 14; Pederson was ranked No. 7 in Division III ... Defeated Eric Roach of Indiana, 6-5, for his first Big Ten dual win ... won the Cradle Gear Invitational in Lock Haven, Pa., with a 4-0 record ... took first place at the Wisconsin Open with a perfect 4-0 record ... placed second at the MSU Open and the Eastern Michigan Open ... posted a 2-1 decision over Brandon Nelsen of Purdue to go 1-2 in the Big Ten Championships ... academic All-Big Ten selection.
