2009-10 (Junior) 0-4 Overall: Went 0-2 at 141 pounds in both the Eastern Michigan Open and the Midlands Championships.

2008-09 (Sophomore) 5-10 Overall, 1-2 Duals, 4-8 Open Tournaments: Picked up first collegiate win at the MSU Open (11/9), defeating Indiana's Scott Kelly (Dec. 6-4) ... Defeated N.C. State's Ryan Tice (Maj. Dec. 11-3) at the ACC-Big Ten Clash (11/15) ... Went 2-2 at the Mat Town Open (11/29), defeating Victor Konno (Dec. 7-1) and Sal Tirico of Columbia (Fall 1:40).

2007-08 (Red-shirt Freshman) 10-11 Overall, 6-7 Duals, 4-4 Open Tournaments: Started at 125 ... Finished 10-11 on the season ... Won first four matches to open the season, and won the first match of the season by pinning Eastern Michigan's Dordell Longstreath at the EMU Open ... Placed second at the EMU Open ... Picked up two wins at the ACC-Big Ten Clash, including an 8-0 major decision victory over North Carolina's Jason DeLuca ... Won final dual of the season against Penn State's Eric Caschera ... Competed in the Big Ten Championships.

2006-07 (Redshirt): Wrestled at 133 in open matches, going 8-8 overall ... Posted two major decision wins, the first being a 9-0 decision against Lindenwood's Josh Dix at EMU's Open ... The second was posted at the PSU Open, defeating Pitt-Johnstown's Mike Paronish 9-1 ... Also earned win over Northwestern's Keith Sulzer, an 8-4 decision in the Cleveland State Open ... Picked up two other wins at EMU Open, defeating Central Michigan's Jason Whitman, 9-2, and Purdue's Sean Schmatlz, 6-4 ... Picked up wins over Indiana's Ted Struchalski and North Carolina's Jarod Royer at the MSU Open.

PREP: Finished second at 125 pounds as a senior, posting a 59-2 mark ... Took third at states as both a sophomore and a junior ... Finished high school with a combined record of 202-18 ... Earned All-America honors in 2006, placing seventh at senior nationals ... Placed third at the Junior Olympics and helped Team Michigan to sixth place at the Disney Duals in 2005 ... A team captain for three years ... Also lettered two years in track and football.

PERSONAL: Born July 1, 1988 ... Son of Kirk and Christy Trombly ... Majoring in business ... His brother Craig wrestled at Michigan State from 2001-04. His other brother, Nick, is a former state wrestling champion.
