Wrestling Opens Dual Season at Eastern Michigan

For the second straight year, MSU will face Eastern to kick off the dual season.

2013-14 (Junior) 15-12 Overall, 0-0 Duals, 15-12 Open Tournaments: Placed sixth at the EMU Open with a 4-2 record including two major decisions . . . Placed second at the Wisconsin Open after starting the meet with a 0:48 fall by Max Burling of Illinois State . . . Pinned (6:48) Max Bullock of Minnesota State Mankato at the UNI Open . . . Posted three falls by opponents at the Greyhound Open to go 4-2 in the competition.

2012-13 (Sophomore) 11-7 Overall, 0-1 Duals, 11-6 Open Tournaments: Went 3-2 at the Eastern Michigan Open, taking sixth place ... Went 2-2 at the MSU Open ... Finished 6-2 at the CSU Open, taking home a fourth place finish ... Competed in dual competition against Lindsey Wilson and fell to James Haywood, 3-2.

2011-12 (Red-shirt Freshman) 11-6 Overall, 11-6 Open Tournaments: Went 3-2 at the EMU Open and beat Cameron Valhos of Purdue ... Pinned Dave Johnson of Michigan in 3:56 at the MSU Open and placed sixth ... Finished 4-2 at the Nittany Lion Open.

2010-11 (Redshirt): Wrestled at 157 pounds and finished the season with a 14-6 overall record ... Compiled a 5-1 record at the EMU Open and placed third in the freshman/sophomore division ... Went 4-0 at the MSU Open and placed first in the freshman/sophomore division ... Competed at the Midlands Championships and finished 1-2 ... Placed sixth at the Simonson Open and recorded falls in each of his first two matches.

PREP: Won Division 3 state championship for the 152-pound weight class senior year ... Finished his high school career with an overall record of 200-25, and was 62-2 his senior year ...
