Spartan Wrestling Boasts No. 16 Recruiting Class
Christian Pagdilao takes title at Flo Nationals.

EAST LANSING, Mich. - Michigan State wrestling will bring in the No. 16 recruiting class in the country in 2013 according to Wrestling Insider Newsmagazine. The class of Javier Gasca (Kingsburg, Calif.), Christian Pagdilao (Corona, Calif.), Josh Pennell (St. Johns, Mich.) and Mitch Rogaliner (Temperance, Mich.) will join the Spartans for the 2013-14 campaign.
Pennell won his first state title this year as a senior after finishing as a runner-up in 2011 and finishing third in 2010. The St. Johns standout is projected to wrestle at either 141 or 149 pounds.
Rogaliner won his second straight state title his senior year and the third of his high school career after claiming the 103-pound title as a freshman. Rogaliner figures to compete at either 125 or 133 pounds for MSU.
Gasca twice placed third in California and is coming off a first-place finish at the National High School Coaches Association senior nationals in the 132-pound division. He projects as a 141-pound wrestler for the Spartans.
The second of two California recruits, Pagdilao, is coming off a first-place finish at the Flo Nationals at 145 pounds. He plans to factor into the starting lineup at either 149 or 157 pounds.
