EAST LANSING, Mich. - After competing in two opens to start the season, the Michigan State wrestling team will travel to Binghamton, N.Y., on Sunday (Nov. 22) for the annual Sprawl and Brawl where it will meet Wyoming, Northern Iowa and Binghamton in three separate duals.

"We're looking forward to competing in dual meet format this weekend," said MSU head coach Tom Minkel. "As we get ready for the Big Ten season, it is important to have dual meet experience. This weekend gives us a chance to see teams we haven't seen before."

MSU will first meet Wyoming at 9:45 a.m. on Sunday, followed by Northern Iowa at 1:15 p.m. and host Binghamton at 3 p.m.

The Spartans are coming off hosting the MSU Open last weekend where they had 16 wrestlers place in the top-six in their respective weight classes. Defending national champion Franklin Gomez picked up his fourth consecutive MSU Open championship at 133 pounds while freshman Dan Osterman claimed the 133-pound title at in the freshman/sophomore division. Redshirt freshman Bryant Craft placed first in the 174-pound freshman/sophomore division.
