"The women's team ran better today than at the Big Ten Championships", said MSU head coach Jim Stintzi. "I believe the women's team will most likely qualify for the NCAA Championships. In regards to the men's team, they also ran well. Steve Sherer ran his best ever today, while Jason Mueller had an off day due to a small injury he has been trying to work through. I feel both teams performed well and we have had a good season. After it is official, the women's team will prepare this week for the NCAA Championships."

Michigan State's women's team has an excellent shot to compete at the NCAA Championships hosted by Northern Iowa on Monday, Nov. 25 at 11 a.m., in Cedar Falls, Iowa. The NCAA will release the teams competing in that competition on Monday (Nov. 17).
