Father lettered on the Michigan State basketball team twice (1965-67), serving as a team captain for the 1966-67 season when he was a second-team All-Big Ten center and team MVP after averaging 16.3 points and 9.2 rebounds ... Changed her number from 5 to 45 prior to the 2007-08 season as a tribute to her father ... Graduated in May 2009 with a degree in advertising.
