Kate Senger
	Position: Director of Basketball Operations Experience: Second Year

Kate Senger enters her secondyear as the Director of Basketball Operations.

Senger, who served as a manager and Director of Basketball Operations Intern for the Michigan State women's basketball team from 1999-2004.

As Director of Basketball Operations for MSU, Senger will assist in various administrative duties, including arranging community events and activities, team travel, assisting with fundraising, recruiting and promotions for the program, and helping increase attendance at women's basketball games.

Senger also plays a large role in putting together the schedule. In 2006-07, she helped to secure a slate that features eight non-conference home games and two tilts with 2006 Final Four teams. Her assistance in scheduling national powers helped Michigan State earn three nationally-televised games throughout the season.

Senger served as a manager for the women's basketball team as a student at MSU from 1999-2003. During the 2003-04 season, she was promoted to a Director of Basketball Operations Intern, assisting with various duties pertaining to travel, marketing and promotions, game management and recruiting. She also worked as Assistant Camp Director for MSU's summer camps in 2002 and 2003.

After graduating from Michigan State in 2004 with a degree in Kinesiology, Senger served as a Constituent Relations Aid for State Senator Michelle McManus. She was the database manager for more than 700 constituent cases, a legislative aid for the Commerce and Labor committee and a district relations aid, traveling between Lansing and her district to attend functions with Senator McManus as her support person.

In the fall of 2004, Senger coached the St. Francis High School freshman girl's basketball team, leading her squad to a 15-3 record.

Senger has also been active in the community, serving as a committee member for the Women Working Wonders-Sparrow Hospital Race, as a panel speaker for the Jackson Area Middle Schools Career Day Fair, as a job shadowing mentor for the Young Spartan Program and assisting in the organization of the MSU women's basketball team's 5k Fun Run fundraiser.
