Michigan State Head Coach Suzy Merchant
On Michigan State's play...
"We played hard. If you want to win games you have to play hard, and play harder than the team you're playing. It could have gone either way in this game and I think we made progress in that department."
On Michigan State's offensive rebounding...
"We've rebounded this way sporadically this season. We certainly didn't on Monday against Indiana, and I don't know whether it's crashing the boards, getting stops, challenging shots or finishing at the rim, but it's all about playing harder. Once you play hard then you start competing and when you compete and play hard together you have a chance to win on the road in the Big Ten."
On Purdue's guards...
"FahKara Malone is a great player and so is Brittany Rayburn. They're both scoring guards and scoring point guards and I think that's something that makes any team hard to guard. You can have players on the wings that can get it near the bucket and great post play, but it's tough when you have that point guard that isn't just a defender and distributor, and both those kids can put it in the bucket."
