Michigan State has now won seven in a row over Wisconsin, the longest winning streak for MSU in series history.
Down 43-29 with 10:09 left in the second half, MSU went on a 24-4 run to win the game, 53-47...it was the biggest comeback for MSU this season - the previous best was when MSU was down 11 to Rutgers, and then came back for the 73-71 win on Jan. 7...MSU also went on a 20-2 run the last 8:02, and Lindsay Bowen scored all 10 of her points during the run.
MSU has now put together five second-half comeback victories this season...the Spartans also trailed by 11 vs. Rutgers (1/7), 10 vs. Wisconsin (1/12), 9 vs. Indiana (1/29) and 8 vs. Illinois (2/5)...MSU also rallied from 10 points down (57-47) with 5:05 remaining to tie the score vs. Ohio State on Jan. 22 with three seconds left, but lost on a last second shot, 67-65.
The crowd of 9,181 was the sixth largest in MSU women's basketball history...five of the top 10 crowds in program history have come this season.
Rene Haynes tied her career-high with five steals...she led MSU with 14 points on 6-for-11 shooting.
Lindsay Bowen scored 10 points and now has 1,652 for her career, just 16 shy of Kisha Kelly's school record 1,668 points...Liz Shimek scored eight and now has 1,642 career points.
MSU shot a season-low 32 percent from the field (19-for-60).
