Opening Statement...
It's a disappointment. I have to credit Illinois. They played a stronger game. They played much more together as a team. Eight assists and 20 turnovers is absolutely pathetic. I can't even stomach the idea of how much we did not play together as a team. We are a team that has to thrive on setting each other up and creating energy for each other. There's no excuse for the way we played whatsoever.

On the team's turnovers...
The 20 turnovers are truly a key to the game. They outrebounded us by five. Apparently, our team is satisfied. I guess we're satisfied with something, I don't know what it is. There's no championship for Michigan State in the regular season.

On the team's play...
It is all about heart. We didn't play that great against Ohio State (a 62-59 win). We relied on Allyssa (DeHaan). Aisha (Jefferson) did some nice things. The reality is we didn't play that well (tonight). We had guards turning the ball over, people taking silly shots, poor shots. Frankly, it's just not Spartan basketball. There's no excuse for it. We are responsible for it and we are definitely going to fix it.
