No. 21 Spartans Edged by Georgia Tech on the Road
Michigan State out-rebounded the Yellow Jackets but fell to a strong second half.

ATLANTA (AP) - Alex Montgomery scored 20 points to lead Georgia Tech to a 70-57 upset of No. 21 Michigan State on Wednesday.
The Yellow Jackets (6-2) overcame a 12-point deficit to win the first half of a doubleheader in the ACC/Big 10 Challenge. The Georgia Tech men hosted Penn State in the second game.
Michigan State (6-2) got to 52-50 on Brittney Thomas' layup with 5:19 remaining, but Tech pulled away down the stretch. Deja Foster converted a three-point play with 2:52 left to give the Yellow Jackets a 62-53 lead, and Montgomery later made four straight free throws to put it away.
Michigan State raced to a 14-2 lead. Tech chipped into the margin and pulled ahead for the first time on Montgomery's 3-pointer just before the buzzer for a 28-26 halftime lead.
Aisha Jefferson led the Spartans with 14 points.
