MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. - Nikki Teasley came off the bench to score 22 points Sunday as No. 10 North Carolina defeated Michigan State 82-65 in the second game of the ACC-Big Ten Challenge.

Teasley scored nine straight points for the Tar Heels (8-2) during a 29-6 run in the second half. Jennifer Thomas scored 10 of her 17 points in that spurt.

Michigan State (8-2) led 39-37 at halftime.

LaQuanda Barksdale finished with 16 points for North Carolina, all in the first half. Juana Brown scored 14.

Becky Cummings scored 22 points to lead the Spartans. Maxann Reese added 19 points, and Kristen Rasmussen had 10 points and 10 rebounds.

No. 9 Penn State defeated Clemson 69-54 in the first game.
