On the play in the second half...
It was just the team. The team providing energy. I know Victoria (Lucas-Perry), as a senior, was not happy to be sitting on the bench in the first half. I just know that we have some competitors and we had some people sitting on the bench in the first half. Victoria sat a long time and I felt good about that, from a standpoint, because I knew what we would get out of Victoria because of that. From a team point of view, the team executed and played hard defense. We did a much better job in the second half of working together. I thought it was just an excellent second-half performance.
On Santa Barbara's play...
They came out very aggressive. They're an excellent team. We knew they were coming off a great win against Pepperdine. We have great respect for every opponent and they've had great success here. I wasn't pleased with everything in the first half, but I thought it was a great basketball game. I thought a lot of interesting things were happening on the floor.
On the overall play of Allyssa DeHaan and the team's win...
I was very impressed with Allyssa (DeHaan)'s composure as a newcomer to this area and being out here and playing against such a fine post player as (Jenna) Green. I thought she did an excellent job of keeping her composure and working hard. I'm just excited for the team. They set a goal to do some great things today and they got them done. We have to build off that, reduce our turnovers, work on our IQ a little bit, get the ball inside a little bit more on the post attempts and we could really develop into something special.
On Alisa Wulff's play in the first half...
I thought Alisa Wulff was huge for us. When we had people on the bench, not playing, Alisa hit two huge threes. That's the kind of team we want to have is one where different people step up at different times.
