Michigan State Head Coach Joanne P. McCallie

Opening statement...
There was a lot of great hustle by the players tonight and everybody contributed. There was a great focus and a terrific start in terms of getting after it early. There was also a wonderful crowd. I really appreciate people coming out during the holiday. We can get a lot better but we established a lot of really good things. Holding a great shooting team like Indiana to 25 percent from the floor was huge and it speaks to the defensive intensity of the team. There were a lot of good things -- some things we can improve on -- but overall great energy, a lot of great team play. Everybody was very much in the moment. We'll build off this and get ready for Sunday (against Wisconsin).

On how far the team has come since the LSU game...
I think we have gotten better every game. I don't know that there is anything to mark with each particular game. Even when we were at Northridge not playing well, I thought our stamina and our mental toughness got better with that overtime. I believe we have taken things from every game. From tonight we're going to take that hustle and looking for each other on the floor. With turnovers, 26 is a lot, and that's something we need to work on. We're not there yet, but we're definitely going to work on that area. We still need to work on playing very aggressive.

On whether this was the best game they've played...
I think it's the most focused we've played and I think it's also the most hustle we've had. We have pockets of brilliance at times against various teams, whether it's South Florida, LSU or the second half of Santa Barbara. There have been pockets, but this was more than just 20 minutes. It wasn't 40 minutes, but it was definitely more minutes of more hustle and more opportunistic type of play.

Indiana Head Coach Felisha Legette-Jack

Opening Statement...
It's something that you need to be a part of to see grow, and Joanne P. McCallie had a vision about this place and it has come to pass. I'm so proud of what she has created here, and our goal is to build Indiana in the same kind of capacity. Tonight, the best team won.

On Michigan State...
They look like Joanne's team, one that's always disciplined, always going to come ready to play. You can't control turnovers all the time, but there turning the ball over more than she's accustomed to. However, tonight they took care of the ball, and they made their open shots.

On Allyssa DeHaan...
We never talk about individuals, we play our basketball, and our game is an inside, outside kind of game. It just so happens there is a 6-foot-9 kid there, but we're still going to play what we play. Maybe it's not the smartest thing to do but I'm not comfortable changing my game plan because of certain people on different teams.
