The 60-53 win marked back-to-back victories for Michigan State over Ohio State for the first time since 1998 (MSU won five meetings in a row over the Buckeyes in a two-year span from 1997 and 1998).
MSU's win over No. 17/18 Ohio State was the first win over a ranked team this year for the Spartans. Michigan State has 28 wins over nationally ranked opponents since the 2001-02 season. It also marked Coach Suzy Merchant's first-ever win over a ranked team in her coaching career.

Kalisha Keane scored 17 points against the Buckeyes...she has scored in double-figures 11 times this season in 14 games.
Mia Johnson played a season-high 24 minutes and also recorded a career-high eight rebounds...she scored her first basket of the season with a 3-pointerin the first half.
