Michigan State Women's Basketball Loses Second Straight

Spartans Fall to Bowling Green, 91-73

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio -- Bowling Green shot a blistering 61 percent from the field and dominated the Spartans in every facet of the game in a 91-73 win on Dec. 6.

The Falcons quickly extended their nine point halftime lead to 17 points behind Sara Puthoff who canned back-to-back three-pointers to make it 62-45 with 14:42 remaining in the game.

After the Falcons went up by as many as 22 points, the Spartans chipped away and pulled within 16 points at 74-58 on a jumper by Becky Cummings with 5:51 left to play. Following a Bowling Green timeout, the Falcons responded with another triple by Puthoff to go up 77-58 with 5:34 left and dash MSU's hope of a comeback.

Kristen Rasmussen tied her career high with 23 points. Pernille Dalgaard added 14 points and a career-high six assists, while Maxann Reese scored 11 points off the bench.
