Taja Wilson was forced to sit out this season after tearing the ACL in her right knee during the offseason.

Wilson appeared in 35 games as a freshman, averaging 2.6 points and 1.7 rebounds in 10.6 minutes per game. She scored in double-figures on two occasions, posting a season-high 12 points at Indiana and putting in 11 points at LSU. She grabbed five rebounds on four occasions, all within the season's final 13 games.

What are your parent's names? Warren and Meta.

What is your birthday? March 22, 1989.

What is your major? Advertising.

What makes your hometown special? Pittsburgh is a big sports town and the people have pride in their many legendary teams.

What is your hidden talent? I have played the piano for 11 years.

What was the last book you read? 90 Minutes in Heaven.

If you could play one-on-one against anyone, dead or alive, who would it be and where? I would play my brother in our backyard because playing against him has always made me better.

If you could get tickets to any concert, dead or alive, who would it be? The Jackson 5. They always made happy, feel-good music.

What's been your favorite class at MSU? My FCE course (The Individual, Marriage, and the Family) with Professor Jacobs.

If you could take a week-long trip to anywhere in the world, where would it be? And why? Greece. It has great views, tasty food, and it's where the Spartans originated.

Who are your role models? My parents.

Who has been the most influential person in your life? God.

If you could play another sport in college what would it be? Gymnastics.

At what age did you start playing basketball? I started playing when I was 7.

What is the one thing that you wish you could learn to do? I wish I could learn how to fly an airplane.

What is your favorite place to eat in East Lansing? Tony's. And what do you typically order? I always order breakfast.

 

 

What is the best thing about Michigan State campus? It has beautiful views all four seasons of the year.

What is your favorite location on campus? Cherry Lane.

What is one thing you cannot live without? Family.

What are your favorite professional sports teams? Pittsburgh Steelers, Penguins and Pirates.

Who is your favorite professional athlete? My brother.
