Women's Basketball Honored By WBCA For Academic Success

Spartans rank among top 20 Division I teams.

East Lansing, Mich. - The Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) recently announced its 1997-98 Academic Top 25 Team Honor Roll for Division I and the Michigan State women's basketball team ranked 12th in the nation.

The Spartans, coached by Karen Langeland, posted a team grade-point average of 3.224 last season. MSU was the only Big Ten school listed among the top 25.
