EAST LANSING, Mich. - The NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament is coming back to the Breslin Center for the first and second rounds, set for Sunday, March 22 and Tuesday, March 24, 2009. The priority ticket order deadline for the event is Thursday, Jan. 1. Fans should order by this date to secure the best available seats and have their orders allocated based on donor and season ticket holder priority. Due to ticket commitments with the NCAA and the four participating schools, MSU cannot guarantee the same seats for the tournament games that fans have for the regular season. Ordering by the Jan. 1 deadline will give fans the best opportunity to secure their seats - or in some cases, even better seats.
Fans can order tickets for the NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament First and Second Rounds at www.msuspartans.com or by calling the Spartan Ticket Office at 517-355-1610. Tickets are $40 (adult) and $20 (youth/senior/MSU student/groups of 15 or more) and are for two games Sunday and one game Tuesday.
In 2007, MSU hosted the NCAA Women's Tournament First and Second Rounds for the first time in school history. Thanks to the nation's second-largest crowd during the NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament's Second Round, East Lansing led all eight First- and Second-Round sites with a total of 21,340 fans passing through the turnstiles during the three sessions of the four-day event.
