Rowers Strong In First Fall Racing

Michigan State kicked off its fall training races on Sunday in Ann Arbor, Mich., against the host Wolverines and Notre Dame. As the fall is used primarily as a training ground for the spring dual racing season, the opening competition was a series of timed pieces that allowed the rowers to focus on the technical aspects of their training in a racing setting.


Rowers Head to Ann Arbor for First Fall Racing

Michigan State's rowing program starts its fall schedule on Sunday afternoon on Belleville Lake in Ann Arbor. Start time is 10 am.


Novice Rowing Hosts Tryouts

Novice rowing tryouts are currently underway, and the Spartan rowing staff is excited to welcome potential rowers to open tryouts at Jenison Field House daily through Sept. 12.


Regan Medals at World Championships

Emily Regan and the women's four earned a silver medal in the straight four at the World Championships in Amsterdam on Friday. The crews battled adverse conditions, but fought through to finish second to New Zealand despite being as far back as fourth at 500 meters.


Regan Headed to World Championships

Michigan State alumna Emily Regan has earned a spot in the United States four that is headed to the 2014 FISA World Rowing championships in Amsterdam, as announced by US Rowing on Monday. Eighty athletes have been named to the US contingent, with the athletes in four more boats to be finalized in the coming days.
