5/30/2013 Spartans Earn CRCA, Big Ten HonorsThe Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA) has announced its 2013 DI All-Region Selections, as well as its scholar athlete selections for the 2013 season. In addition, the Big Ten announced its Academic All-Big Ten selections for spring sports, and MSU was represented on all three prestigious lists. 5/22/2013 Cromie Named Big Ten Freshman of the YearMichigan State rower Katie Cromie has been named the Big Ten Freshman of the Year, as voted on by Conference coaches. Cromie, who was also named to the All-Big Ten First Team, is MSU's fifth Big Ten Freshman of the Year honoree, and first since Laura Cowal in 2008. 5/19/2013 Spartans Finish Fourth at Big Ten ChampionshipsMichigan State met or exceeded its seed in five of six races, and the Spartans finished fourth in the team standings at the 2013 Big Ten Championships on Sunday, May 19. The Spartan second novice eight earned a bronze medal on the day, while both the varsity eight and novice eight finished higher than their pre-championship seeding at the regatta, held at Eagle Creek Reservoir in Indianapolis, Ind. 5/17/2013 Spartans Head to Big Ten ChampionshipsMichigan State heads to Indianapolis for the Big Ten Rowing Championships on Sunday, May 19. Eagle Creek Park hosts this event for the third consecutive season. 5/5/2013 Spartans Wrap Dual SeasonMichigan State completed its dual racing on Sunday morning at Wisconsin, facing off with the host Badgers and Minnesota. MSU dropped both duals, but head coach Matt Weise was encouraged by the progress he's seen in his squad. |
