Regan Medals at World Championships

Emily Regan and the women's four earned a silver medal in the straight four at the World Championships in Amsterdam on Friday. The crews battled adverse conditions, but fought through to finish second to New Zealand despite being as far back as fourth at 500 meters.


Regan Headed to World Championships

Michigan State alumna Emily Regan has earned a spot in the United States four that is headed to the 2014 FISA World Rowing championships in Amsterdam, as announced by US Rowing on Monday. Eighty athletes have been named to the US contingent, with the athletes in four more boats to be finalized in the coming days.


Tilghman Joins Spartan Rowing Staff

Michigan State rowing coach Matt Weise has announced the addition of Helen Tilghman to the Spartan staff as an assistant coach. Tilghman comes to East Lansing after a year each at Dayton and Seattle, and rowed collegiately at Washington (2008-12).


Moore, Cromie Earn All-Region Honors

Two Michigan State rowers - senior Laura Moore and sophomore Katie Cromie were named to the All-Central Region teams by the Collegiate Rowing Coaches of America (CRCA).


Spartans Fifth at Big Tens

It was a frustrating day for Michigan State at the Big Ten Championships, as only one boat took away a medal and one other met its seed, as the Spartans finished fifth at the regatta on Eagle Creek Reservoir in Indianapolis, Indiana. MSU's varsity four, seeded fourth, took third place to earn a medal, while the fifth-seeded varsity eight met its seed.
