Lisa Weise Captures Head of the Charles Medal

Lisa Weise, the wife of MSU rowing coach Matt Weise and a Spartan rower from the program's club days, won the Masters Single event at the Head of the Charles Regatta in Boston, Mass. on Sunday.

Regan Wins Gold at World Championships

Former Michigan State rower Emily Regan (Buffalo, NY) captured a gold medal on Saturday morning in the United States women's four at the World Rowing Championships in Bled, Slovenia. It was Regan's first World Championship appearance, and her second gold medal when competing for the United States - she also won gold at the U-23 World Championships in the eight in 2010.

Regan Named to US Squad For Rowing World Championships

Former MSU rower Emily Regan (Buffalo, NY) has been named to the 2011 U.S. National Team roster, as announced by USRowing on Friday. Twenty-six crews will represent the United States at the 2011 World Rowing Championships scheduled for August 28-September 4 in Bled, Slovenia.

Cowal, Canada Win Gold at World U23 Championships

Recent MSU graduate Laura Cowal (Thorold, Ontario) helped the Canadian women's eight capture a gold medal on Sunday morning at the Under-23 World Rowing Championships in Amsterdam, Netherlands.

Cowal Departs For World Championships

Recent MSU graduate and 2011 Big Ten Athlete of the Year Laura Cowal (Thorold, Ontario) is once again representing her home country in the World Rowing Under 23 Championships. The world championship regatta gets underway July 20 at Bosbaan in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Cowal will once again compete in the Canadian women's eight at this event, after capturing a bronze medal in the 2010 World Championships.
