Finished fourth in a time of 8:20.9 ... Lined up with some of the best crews in the country at the Clemson Invitational (April 20-21). Rowed in the two seat of the varsity four, finishing fifth (7:39.2) in the Saturday morning session behind winner Penn (7:34.0). On Saturday afternoon, posted a race victory in a time of 7:21.2, the sixth-fastest time overall from the three heats. On Sunday, the V4 finished fifth in its heat (7:19.3), as Louisville had a length lead on Cornell at the finish ... In the three seat of the varsity four, fell to UVA's two fours in the morning session at Virginia with Duke (April 27), but significantly reduced the margin when the falling to the Blue Devils by six seats (7:54.9) in the afternoon session ... Raced Big Ten foes Minnesota and Wisconsin in the final week of the regular season (May 5), and rowed to a second-place finish (7:42.7) as the three seat in the varsity four. Finished by three lengths of open water ahead of Minnesota but behind host Wisconsin ... In the bow seat, helped MSU to a fifth-place finish in the second varsity four at the Big Ten Championships (May 19) in Indianapolis. Finished the race in a time of 8:03.126, and helped MSU to a fourth-place team finish in the Championships.
2012: Rowed in the varsity four at NCAA Championships where the Spartans took third in the third-level final in a time of 7:33.95... Placed fourth at the Big Ten Championships in a time of 7:20.210 with the varsity four... Academic All-Big Ten... Defeated Iowa by 18 seconds and Louisville by 15.8 seconds on April 7 in Iowa City ... Varsity four notched a win over Northeastern by 14.1 seconds at the UVA Invitational (April 14-15) ... Beat No. 11 Stanford by open water (10.5 seconds) to help the varsity four to Big Ten Boat of the Week honors for the week of April 24th...
2011: Rowed with the novice eight, second varsity eight, and the varsity four ... Took a second place finish in the Petite Finals of the NCAA Regatta with a time of 6:37.28, a 00:00.15 margin over Princeton... Placed fourth at the Big Ten Championships with a time of 7:20.56 with the varsity four ... Defeated Boston University, Gonzaga and Indiana to capture the Dale England Cup by margins of 14.7 seconds, 7 seconds, and 5.5 seconds... Topped Clemson by a margin of 10.1 seconds and Texas by 4.3 seconds.
