Rowers Ready for Big Ten Double Dual

MSU races No. 4 Buckeyes, Indiana in Ann Arbor

2013: Three seat of the second varsity four, which opened the season (March 30) with a two-seat loss to Michigan, but rebounded in the afternoon session with an open-water victory over Notre Dame in 8:26.50 ... Rowed in the three seat of the second varsity four in a four-boat race with Big Ten foes Michigan, Ohio State, and Indiana (April 13) when conditions forced a change from a double-dual format. Finished third in a time of 7:47.8, more than thirty seconds better than fourth-place Indiana and a length back from race winner Ohio State ... Lined up with some of the best crews in the country at the Clemson Invitational (April 20-21). In the three seat of the second varsity four, helped the boat win both of its races, first defeating Tennessee, Cornell, Duke and Penn in the morning session in a time of 7:49.9. In the afternoon, racing was consistently much faster for all boats, and MSU posted the second-fastest time in the two races overall by winning the second heat in a time of 7:22.3 ...The Sunday racing for the 2V4 at Clemson was wiped out due to weather conditions ... Raced Big Ten foes Minnesota and Wisconsin in the final week of the regular season (May 5), and rowed to a second-place finish (7:46.2) as the three seat in the second varsity four. Was 16 seconds behind the host Badgers, but six seats ahead of the Gophers ... In the three seat, helped MSU to a fifth-place finish in the second varsity four at the Big Ten Championships (May 19) in Indianapolis. Finished the race in a time of 8:03.126, and helped MSU to a fourth-place team finish in the Championships.

2012: Rowed in the second novice eight at the Big Ten Championships where the Spartans finished fourth in a time of 7:04.069...Defeated Michigan by 2.8 (March 31 at Ohio State) and 5.4 seconds (April 7 at Iowa) in back-to-back weeks ...
