2003-04: Rowed three seat of A-Flight novice eight, which registered 7:08.80 across the finish line, good for second place over Wisconsin and Indiana in the grand final at the Big Ten Championship Regatta ... Earned second place in top novice eight grand final at Big Tens, contributing to fourth place overall finish for MSU ... Rowed three seat of top Spartan novice eight, which crossed the finish line in 7:06.90 to defeat Michigan (7:29.94) on April 17 ... Rowed three seat of the A-Flight Spartan novice eight, which finished first (6:47.00) to defeat Clemson (6:51.20), Notre Dame (7:01.30), Michigan (7:10.3) and Eastern Michigan (7:35.8) in Ann Arbor on March 27 ... Rowed three seat of the top novice eight, which posted 5:04.70 to take second place, defeating Tennessee's 5:19.40 in Knoxville, Tenn., on March 15.

Personal: Born Dec. 1, 1984 in Boston, Mass ... Father, Timothy Clifford, rowed at Northeastern University, where he was a captain as a senior, rowed at Royal Henley Regatta, was National Champion in the 4+ in 1979, as a member of the US Rowing Team took fifth in 1979 World Championships in Yugoslavia ... Mother, Colette Clifford, is an active marathon runner who has completed 29 marathons so far ... Cousin Nicole Younts rowed at UVA and is now the assistant crew coach at Stanford University ... Interested in teaching pre-school ... Education major.
