Rowing Season Begins This Weekend at Oak Ridge

2015 Academic All-Big Ten Honoree … Spent the entire season in the stroke seat of the varsity four … Opened the Oak Ridge Cardinal Invitational (3/14-15) with a time of 6:56.774, good for a third-place finish (3/14), behind Minnesota and Oklahoma but six seats ahead of UCF … Third behind top-10 NCAA finishers Yale and Virginia in the second race at Oak Ridge … Won the final race at the Cardinal Invitational, nearly a full length behind second-place Kansas (6:01.206-6:05.088) … Second to both Louisville and Notre Dame in a double dual at Ohio State (3/28) … Finished behind Iowa and Indiana in a Big Ten double-dual at Michigan (4/11) … Was fifth, sixth, and sixth in three races at the two-day Clemson Invitational (4/ 18-19) … Was fourth behind Michigan, Syracuse, and host Ohio State in Columbus (4/25) … Finished behind Minnesota and the host Badgers in a Big Ten race held in Baraboo, Wisconsin (5/2) … Won the Petite Final at the Big Ten Championships by open water over Rutgers (8:36.396-9:02.861) … Was fourth in the Big Ten semifinal on day one of competition (5/16-17).

2014: Posted a victory over Ohio State by nearly a full length of open water in the novice eight (7:31.70 - 7:40.14) (5/3)... Finished first nearly a full length ahead of second-place Penn (7:54.9), and 18 seconds ahead of third-place Louisville as part of the novice eight at the Clemson Invitational (4/19)... Finished first in the novice eight on day two of the Clemson Invite (4/20), finishing six seats ahead of second-place Indiana and besting Syracuse, Oregon State, Washington State, Clemson, and Duke by open water... Novice eight won by a full length over Wisconsin and by open water over Minnesota at Michigan (4/12)... Defeated the Brown novice eight by open water (3/29)... Finished nearly 30 seconds ahead of Rutgers, who edged Boston by two seats in the novice eight race (3/28)... Defeated Duke and Kansas at the Oak Ridge Cardinal Invitational (3/15).
