2015 Big Ten Distinguished Scholar and Academic All-Big Ten Honoree … Spent all seven racing weekends in the varsity eight … Clocked a weekend-best 6:01.206 in the final set of races at the Oak Ridge Cardinal Invitational (3/14-15) vs. Kansas, Tennessee, and Alabama … Was within six seats of both UCF and Oklahoma in the first V8 races at Oak Ridge, clocked in a time of 6:06.431 … In the V8 bow seat, fell to both Louisville and Notre Dame in a double dual at Ohio State (3/28) … Dropped a pair of dual races to Big Ten foes Iowa (6:47.2-6:56.03) and Indiana (6:23.8-6:42.9) in the bow in a Big Ten double dual at Michigan (4/11) … Remaining in the bow seat for the varsity eight, had a rough go at the Clemson Invitational (4/18-19), finishing sixth, seventh, and seventh on Lake Hartwell in a regatta featuring 10 teams from the CRCA Top 25 … Finished behind eventual National Champion Ohio State, NCAA qualifier Michigan, and Syracuse in the seven seat of the varsity eight at a quad in Columbus, with a time of 6:45.7 … Was behind both Wisconsin (6:55.3541) and Minnesota (7:03.971) with a time of 7:11.529 in a Big Ten race in Baraboo, Wisconsin (5/2) … Won the varsity eight Petite Final at the Big Ten Championships (5/17), finishing with five lengths of open water ahead of Rutgers (7:05.305-7:32.583) … Missed a spot in the Big Ten Grand final by under two-tenths of a second, behind third-place Iowa in the Big Ten semifinal heat (6:54.239-6:55.910) (5/16).
2014: Big Ten Distinguished Scholar ... Academic All-Big Ten... Defeated Duke by eight seconds in the varsity eight race at Virginia (4/26)... Finished a half-length behind No. 12 Washington State and a full length ahead of No. 18 Syracuse at the Clemson Invitational (4/19)... Varsity eight defeated both Boston and Rutgers by more than 15 seconds (3/28)... Varsity eight defeated Kansas by open water and posted a win over Tennessee by a length on the first day at the Oak Ridge Cardinal Invitational (3/15).
2013: Academic All-Big Ten Selection ... In the three seat of the varsity four, fell to Michigan by eight seconds and Notre Dame by seven in the season-opening races at home (March 30) ... Rowed in the bow seat of the varsity four in a four-boat race with Big Ten foes Michigan, Ohio State, and Indiana (April 13) when conditions forced a change from a double-dual format. Finished fourth in a time of 8:20.9 ... Lined up with some of the best crews in the country at the Clemson Invitational (April 20-21). Rowed in the bow seat of the varsity four, finishing fifth (7:39.2) in the Saturday morning session behind winner Penn (7:34.0). On Saturday afternoon, posted a race victory in a time of 7:21.2, the sixth-fastest time overall from the three heats. On Sunday, the V4 finished fifth in its heat (7:19.3), as Louisville had a length lead on Cornell at the finish ... In the bow seat of the varsity four, fell to UVA's two fours in the morning session at Virginia with Duke (April 27), but significantly reduced the margin when the falling to the Blue Devils by six seats (7:54.9) in the afternoon session ... Raced Big Ten foes Minnesota and Wisconsin in the final week of the regular season (May 5), and rowed to a second-place finish (7:42.7) as the bow seat in the varsity four. Finished by three lengths of open water ahead of Minnesota but behind host Wisconsin ... In the bow seat, rowed to a fourth-place finish in the varsity four at the Big Ten Championships on May 19 (7:39.533). The Spartans finished fourth in the team standings with 85 points, behind champion Ohio State, Michigan, and Wisconsin.
2012: Took a sixth place finish at the Big Ten Championships in a time of 7:06.852 as part of the novice eight... Defeated Louisville by 33.1 seconds and Iowa by four seconds on April 7 in Iowa City... Notched victories over Northeastern and Penn at the UVA Invitational (April 14-15) as part of the novice eight.
