MSU finished well ahead of its seeding at prestigious regatta

2016 Coxswain for every race in the varsity eight … Had a strong performance at the Oak Ridge Invitational (3/12-13) in the varsity eight, winning it’s Saturday morning race by open water (6:28.48) over Oklahoma, Kansas and Alabama … In the afternoon session at Oak Ridge finished third behind No. 4 Virginia (6:07.85), and Notre Dame (6:11.37), posting a time of 6:13.08. In the Sunday morning session, outpaced Big Ten foe Minnesota by a full length (6:37.90) – the fourth-best time of any varsity eight on the lake on Sunday morning - and more than two lengths ahead of both Central Florida and West Virginia … In the varsity eight, finished third behind No. 3 Virginia and No. 7 Michigan, (6:37.7), in the first session of the Big Ten/ACC Double Dual in Columbus (4/2) but was ahead of Clemson in the second session by more than two lengths of open water (6:45.9), and had contact with winner Michigan at the finish line … Split action at the Big Ten Double Dual in Princeton, NJ (4/9) in the varsity eight, downing Rutgers by more than 26 seconds before falling to No. 3 Ohio State by six seats … At the Clemson Invitational (4/16-17) raced in the varsity eight and had a fourth-place finish in the morning session, behind UCLA in second (6:48.2) and Louisville edging MSU by a second for third place (6:51.5 - 6:52.6). In the second session at Clemson, had a tall task against No. 3 Ohio State, No 4. Virginia, and No. 8 Texas, finishing fifth behind San Diego (6:32.50) … Finished third to No. 3 Ohio State and No 16. Syracuse (4/24) in a three-boat varsity eight race in Columbus, clocked in a time of 6:25.2 … Racing in Ann Arbor (4/30), took second behind the Wolverines in a time of 6:21.47, six seats ahead of (RV) Louisville in the varsity eight … In the varsity eight race at the Big Ten Championships (5/15), rowed to a seventh-place finish (6:42.309), less than a second behind sixth-place Minnesota …

Fall 2015 Coxswain for MSU's entry at the prestigious Head of the Charles Regatta in Cambridge, Mass. and finished 10th in the women's championship eights. Completed the 4,800-meter course in a time of 16:53.764, less than half a second behind ninth-place Iowa. MSU finished 14 spots ahead of its pre-HOCR seeding (24th).

2015 Coxswain of the varsity eight for every race on the season ... Clocked a weekend-best 6:01.206 in the final set of races at the Oak Ridge Cardinal Invitational (3/14-15) vs. Kansas, Tennessee, and Alabama ... Was within six seats of both UCF and Oklahoma in the first V8 races at Oak Ridge, clocked in a time of 6:06.431 ... Fell to both Louisville and Notre Dame in a double dual at Ohio State (3/28) ... Dropped a pair of dual races to Big Ten foes Iowa (6:47.2-6:56.03) and Indiana (6:23.8-6:42.9) in a Big Ten double dual at Michigan (4/11) ... Had a rough go at the Clemson Invitational (4/18-19), finishing sixth, seventh, and seventh on Lake Hartwell in a regatta featuring 10 teams from the CRCA Top 25 ... Finished behind eventual National Champion Ohio State, NCAA qualifier Michigan, and Syracuse at a quad in Columbus, with a time of 6:45.7 ... Was behind both Wisconsin (6:55.3541) and Minnesota (7:03.971) with a time of 7:11.529 in a Big Ten race in Baraboo, Wisconsin (5/2) ... Won the Petite Final at the Big Ten Championships (5/17), finishing with five lengths of open water ahead of Rutgers (7:05.305-7:32.583) ... Missed a spot in the Big Ten Grand final by under two-tenths of a second, behind third-place Iowa in the Big Ten semifinal heat (6:54.239-6:55.910) (5/16).

2014: Beat Michigan by nearly 10 seconds as the coxswain of the varsity four (5/3)... Finished in contact with UCLA and Louisville in its third-place finish in the varsity four at the Clemson Invitational (4/19)... Finished third behind nationally-ranked Syracuse and Washington State on the second day of the Clemson Invite (4/20)... Varsity four defeated Duke by three seconds on the first day of the Oak Ridge Cardinal Invitational (3/15).

2013: Fell to Michigan in the season opener (March 30) at home by open water as the coxswain of the novice eight, clocked in a time of 7:33.30, but closed the margin against Notre Dame in falling to the Irish in the afternoon session ... Coxswain of the novice eight in a four-boat race with Big Ten foes Michigan, Ohio State, and Indiana (April 13) when conditions forced a change from a double-dual format. Finished third in a time of 7:05.3, half a length ahead of fourth-place Indiana and a length behind second-place Ohio State ... Lined up with some of the best crews in the country at the Clemson Invitational (April 20-21). Coxswain for the first novice entry, helping the boat finish with the sixth-fastest time of the day and won its morning race in a time of 7:04.06; its winning time in the afternoon session was 6:53.3 ... The Sunday racing for the novice eights at Clemson was wiped out due to weather conditions ... Raced Big Ten foes Minnesota and Wisconsin in the final week of the regular season (May 5), and rowed to a third-place finish (6:42.6) as the coxswain in the novice eight. In one of the tightest races of the day, Wisconsin finished in 6:57.1, Minnesota in 6:58.8, and MSU just a length behind in 7:02.9 ... Helped the novice eight finish one spot better than its seeding at the Big Ten Championships (May 19). As the coxswain, helped guide the boat to a fourth-place finish in a time of 7:14.462. The Spartans finished fourth in the team standings with 85 points, behind champion Ohio State, Michigan, and Wisconsin.
