2000-2001: Rowed in the MSU varsity eight, which placed third in the varsity eight grand final and 10th overall at the 2001 NCAA Championships...named a Second-Team All-American...led the third-place first varsity eight at the 2001 Big Ten's...honored as a First-Team All-Big Ten of only 11 Big Ten rowers named to the All-Central Region First Team...awarded Central Region Scholar Athlete Team honors by the CRCA...was a 2001 Academic All-Big Ten Athlete with a GPA of 3.75 in the spring.

1999-2000: A member of the Spartans? varsity eight, which placed second in the varsity eight petite final, and eighth overall at the 2000 NCAA Championships...named a National Scholar-Athlete by the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association after maintaining a 3.84 GPA in physical science...named to the 2000 USRowing Collegiate Honor Roll First Team...also an Academic All-Big Ten honoree.

1998-99: Rowed in the second varsity eight, which finished sixth at the 1999 NCAA Championships...attended United States Rowing freshman camp in 1999.

Prior to MSU: A 1998 graduate of Linden High School...lettered in track and cross country...MVP, All-county, and All-league in both sports...state qualifier in cross country in 1996 and 1997...state qualifier in track for 800m and 1600m in 1997 and 1998.

Personal: Born December, 24, 1979, She is the daughter of Steve and Diane Buzzell...uncle, Mike Nelson, played basketball at Northern Michigan...a packaging major...was on the Dean?s list in 1998-99 both fall and spring semester...enjoys camping, running, and swimming in her spare time.
