Competed with the novice eight in two Big Ten races against Wisconsin and Minnesota.

Prior to MSU: Lettered in rowing all four years of high school... Won a silver medal at the Mid-West Junior Championships as the coxswain of the junior eight and took fourth place at the Club Nationals... As a senior, took first at the Mid-West Junior Rowing Championships and 9th at Youth Nationals with the light weight eight.
